For vehicles that require a specific lens (i.e. - Ford Oval, Vauxhall Oval, etc) 1. Your current lens will be held into place by a spring clip one one side and a ridged section on the other. You will need to locate the spring clip with a flat ended screwdriver, ensuring that you have covered the surrounding paintwork with a protective, low tack tape. You then depress the spring clip and carefully ease the lens out of its aperture in the bodywork. The lens & bulb holder should now be free to work with. |

Should you wish to use your existing bulb holder, you should then simply twist the current lens off , replace the clear bulbs with the amber ones I supply with your new lenses, and then twist the lens back onto the bulb holder. 3.Should you wish to replace the entire lens and bulb holder unit, you simply unplug the current lens & bulb holder unit from the electrical fitting and replace with your new unit - you will then need to unscrew your new lens from the new bulb holder to insert the amber bulbs supplied, then twist it back on. |
|
Please note that some types of lens do not supply the bulb holder, such as the Rover or Volkswagen and you will need to use your current bulb holder, so you would need to follow instruction no. 2 above |
| 3. Once your new unit is ready to be put back into place, you fit the ridged section of the lens onto one edge of the vehicles lens aperture and carefully ease the spring clip into place, taking care not to press too hard or you may snap the clip. Your lens should fit comfortably against the paintwork, but you may want to use a little double sided sticky tape to ensure the new lens stays firmly in place. Carefully remove any tape you have protected the surrounding paintwork with. |

Universal Lenses |
|
Fitting a universal lens is quite simple. Firstly, you would need to follow directions no. 1 & 3 for specific vehicles (you will need to replace the entire unit as your current bulb holder may not fit the universal lens which is supplied with its own bulb holder.) Make sure the area around the aperture your old lens was fitted into is clean and free from any greasy substance, etc. You then apply the supplied double sided sticky pad to the back of the universal lens and slide the lens stem into the aperture, pressing the new lens firmly onto its surface. The LED universal lens has no stem and is completely flat at the back, so you would apply the LED lens as per these instructions, although some wiring is required. It is always best to consult someone who is experienced in vehicle wiring for a task like this.
